I believe I am also a sufferer of Globus Hystericus. I feel as though something is lodged in my throat (left side to be exact) and it occurs on and off for weeks. I also feel the urge to heave, although I can usually suppress it. I eat a lot of mints, but usually because it helps with the nausea that is associated with it. I have not found a better cure, but I sure hope there is one because I can't continue to live like this. I've had a barrium swallow and other tests done, but the doctors don't know what it is.
