Hi Nicola,
It may be that you were camping in deer country and were bitten by a deer tick. The burning and tingling is a sign of nerve damage so the earlier that you can find out for sure, the better.
Hopefully you have already been checked for diabetes, vitamin B12 defficiency, low thyroid function, Epstein Barr, Lupus, MS and a few other things.
