My grandson has been having tremors since he was about 6 months old. They would mainly start after he would wake up and last up to two hours later. The doctor told us that it's normal for children to have tremors when they awake, but these were not just regular tremors. They were so bad he could not stand. Well about a week ago he was playing with other children and my daughter noticed him starting to lean against the wall or what ever was close. The following day he could not stand because the tremors were so bad. She took him to the doctor and they immediately hospitalized him. They called in a neurologist and a genetics specialist. He has had a MRI done and all sorts of blood work. Their first thought was he had a virus on the brain (that was ruled out with the MRI). All the blood work came back ok. He has been sent home pending more tests. He's scheduled to see an eye doctor next week and is continuing to see the neurologist and genetics doctor. The tremors are so strong he can't walk. We are so cared. There are so many questions we have, but no answers. Is there anyone out there with any answers or that can point us in some direction? For those of you that have that infant that has tremors please don't take that line "it's normal" we did and now my grandson is 1 and 1/2 and can't walk and no one can tell us why.
