I read your comments and my daughter has had the exact same thing. We took her to her doctor at 6 months and they did not find anything and then we didn't see any head shaking for a while. Now that she is 15 months, we are noticing it again and it seems more frequent. We are planning on having her seen again. Have you gotten anyone to tell you what this is called? Just curious.
