Hi paul...I am not sure why you are concerned. Herpes in general is an important health concern that everybody should be aware of especially as a it is believed that one in five americans are infected with the virus that causes genital herpes. This makes herpes the most sexually transmitted disease. Most people infected with Herpes don't know that they have it and this contributes to the spread of the disaese. It was widely believed that the virus is most likely to be transmitted when the symptoms are present such as sores, blisters and buring sensation. But recent studies indicate that the virus may be active when there are no symptoms present.This makes it imparitive that the people who have herpes should abstain from sex during flare ups and use condoms all other times. There are currently no medication to cure the disease but medicines are available that will minimize the discomfort.
