there is nothing more heart-wrenching than a baby with reflux. what most people don't realize is that the ailment does not only manifest itself in spitups. in fact, our son rarely spitup, but rather cried inconsolibly when he got to about two ounces or when he would burp. we put him on zantac at 6 weeks (begrudgingly!) and chased the dosage for a while. but when we found the right dose, he improved exponentially. at 5 1/2 months, he still is only able to take about 20 oz. a day. luckily, it seems to be enough along with the tablespoon of cereal we give him at breakfast and dinner. it does get better!
