Hi...The best non medical way to try to reduce blood pressure is to eat healthy and reduce your weight...changing eating habits with substituting deep fried foods and meats with steamed vegitables, substituting oils with high concentrations of poly and saturated fats (lard, some vegitable oils, butter, peanut oil etc) with the ones with high mono saturated oils (olive oil, canola oil etc) would help in lowering the weight and might help with blood pressure. Also reduction in salt(Nacl) intake by actual reduction in the food you prepare and by reducing consumption of pre-prepared and frozen foods from the super market might help immensly....If these measures don't help, doctor can prescribe medication to lower the blood pressure...High Blood pressure is also known as the silent killer...so don't let it go unchecked by your physician...talk to your doctor about it..
