Lana...This symptom could be several things. You should see a doctor for an evaluation. I personally do not think it is anything serious. It sounds like a hiatal hernia with GERD symptoms. The pain could be the HH and the lump in the throat could be from acid reflux. When acid creaps up the esophagus it sometimes causes the upper esophageal sphincter (UES) to constrict.
