my mom was diagnosed with this disease and is having alot of trouble. They have done a colonoscopy and other tests. They told my mom to eat a high fiber diet but she can't. My mom gets very ill for days at a time and has to miss work. She gets watery runs 4-6 times per day when she gets an episode. The docters said to call them every time she gets an episode so they can log it. There currently is no leaking out of the intestine wall into the abdomen but, I am very worried. If my mom is unable to hold her job due to this disease can't she get disability or can't the docter just do surhery and cut the pocketed area out to avoid future problems? what are the side effects from the surgery? Also it may sound weird but is it possible to hallucinate when you are under alot of pain. My mom said that during one of her attacks a man called and said over and over again "Your stomach always hurts, Why do you always complain about your stomach"?
I am really concerned.
