My name is Amy, I am 22 and for the past 5 years after eating or drinking I have been suffering from excessive burping and excessive saliva. In October 2001, I began having burps 24 hours a day and in constant discomfort because these burps were not coming up. I had to literally "work" at getting relief by burping. I have had to quit school, work, and life as I knew all because I could not burp and was in constant discomfort and pain. I have gone to at least 15 different doctors or specialists and no one has helped me out. I have been told many things like it is my allergies, acid reflux or aerophagia (swallowing of air). I just went to have my blood checked for a bacteria called H. Pylori which can be associated with ulcers. I would so appreciate anyone with any similiar symptoms to post so I could read about similiar situations. Thank you
