i too get these blisters, they are very annoying and embarrassing. I have been researching on here what causes them and i am amazed i have not found out yet. I seem to only get them in the summer, but it has been over a month since the last time. Till yesterday when i got the largest breakout yet. Everything i have been reading on here says it is not contagious, but i never had them till about 3 years ago. I was with my now ex boyfriend who had the same problem, then i started getting them. Although my bf now has not, and neither has my daughter. I have read also about stress being a cause, and i am going through a stressful time right now. I have noticed in the past and recently that i get blisters on my lips during stressful times, along with heartburn and ulcers. I am wondering if too much acid in the body could be the cause. If anyone knows anymore about this please let me know.
