I'm told by my doctor that these floaters are the beginning of cataracts and you'll eventually have to have them removed. However, don't let them do it too soon or you could lose your vision altogether. Once they're "ripe" (a good doctor will know), you should have them removed. I understand they give you drops which numb the eye and you don't feel a thing!
