Ok I am in my mid 50's, been through menopause and now get bv at least once a year ..maybe twice. Hmm since 2000... This time i am in agony!!! The worst ever.!!! I tried using tea tree oil on a tampon in water........the water was too hot and I burned myself! Switched to boric acid and herbs which actually gave me incredible pain and the onset of this horrible bout of it!!! I am now on flagyl.gave up on the homepathicss..Maybe they work for some , but for me was near death......the pain and severity cannot be matched.. The doctor also put me on doxycycline to combat the bacteria that was caused by the irritation from the tea tree oil hotwater and the herbs and acid! I say go to your doctor... Any other post menopausal women out there with chronic or severe bv?
