irregular periods

I'm 26. I have irregular periods problem for some years. The periods seem skipped 2 to 3 months. I have consulted by DR and take some hormon tablets before. The periods goes well in the 3 months by taking those medicines. Once i stop consuming it. The periods keep back to irregular... What DR recommend me then is to let it be natural... Actually, is there any remedies? Is my conditions related to PCOs(polycystic ovary syndrome)?
