i too have had issues with BV or at least that's what i thought. after the inital exam (which showed bacterial overgrowth) and treatment (cleocin) the problem kept coming back...however the follow-up tests showed no problem. frustrating to say the least. then i discovered that it was the washing detergent i was using. i began using dreft (very mild), stopped using fabric softener and dryer sheets and the problem has virtually resolved itself! my gyn said it was contact dermatitus...who knew! hope this helps.
