Why is it brown?

I have had the same thing happening to me for the past 6 periods and it has just been brown. I have had periods in the past that I would get a brown flow at the end of my period and the doctor told me it is just old blood that has built up. I realy don't know what is going on I would suggest going to the doctor as I am going to do. Good luck and I hope you find out and let us know.
