Long  Irregular Cycles

I have been diagnosed Polycystic Ovarian Disease. Since the diagnosis i have experienced cycles that come about every 4 or 5 months. When i do have a cycle they last for more than a month. This causes me to become very ill and my blood level get really low. My gynecologist said that I must take birth controll but they make me very sick. Do you know an alternative method to end these long periods.I am currently on a cycle that has lasted 5 weeks and is showing no sign of slowing up contact me @scwillms@memphis.edu
