period problems after birth

i had a baby elevon weeks ago and had bleeding for six weeks, it stopped for four days then i had a heavy period the doctor put me on hormone tablets three a day for ten days, which stopped the bleeding, a couple of days after finishing them i started heavy bleeding again, so the doctor put me on the pill which i took for elevon days, then had to stop as they gave me severe headaches, i am now having a heavy period again and am very worried soomething is wrong. please can anyone help.
