The role of diet in diverticulosis has been controversial. It occurs in societies where fibre intake is low, so increase your fibre. There is a old saying to avoid nuts, seeds, popcorn etc. in order to avoid complications but that has not been proven. Generally, rather than restrictions, most physicians just advise high fibre diet.
